INTRODUCTION

I’ve been involved in the building industry since 1985 – long before I had even received my Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering in 1995 , EMBA degree in General Management in 2011 and Professional Doctorate in General Management in 2023.

With extensive expertise in various engineering projects and departments, I’ve developed strong management skills and technical knowledge of construction standards ensuring that any project I handle is professionally managed and that the delivery not only meets the client’s expectations, but also exceeds them.

As an accomplished Projects Execution Manager with extensive civil engineering expertise, I would like to share my résumé with you to showcase my performance in managing construction teams and how I have been instrumental in achieving growth and financial success for multinational corporations.

The breadth of my experience, along with the years of expertise in building construction, not to mention my specialized skills, have allowed me to offer proven leadership and a history of significant results.

NIC was established in 1999 with the primary purpose of developing the Breakwater area in order to optimize the use of this prime location for economic and social enrichment. As such, the Corporation set a plan for development based on the market’s needs and the Corporation’s financial resources at the time. The vision began with the Marina Mall project which was later to become the premiere shopping destination in Abu Dhabi.

Marina Mall was built to cater to the need for a high-quality modern shopping mall with large circulation spaces, quality anchor tenants, and a vast collection of brand names. Opened to the public in 2001, the mall was well-received by both tenants and shoppers.

The Corporation continued its growth with the completion of Marina Royal Complex in 2006; A residential compound consisting of 100 top luxury villas, wherein all units enjoy unparalleled sea views. By 2006, the first extension of Marina Mall was completed and opened to the public. The extension enhanced the mall mix which resulted in a substantial increase in footfall, reaching almost 16 million visitors by 2010.

NIC also continues to lease Marina Village Office Park; A compound developed in 2008, consisting of 107 villas for residential and commercial use. As of 2018, NIC added the extravagant Marina Sunset development to its portfolio of projects with 67 villas and 210 residential apartments bringing modern luxury living to the capital.

My overall Responsibilities and duties are following up with all projects management their related departments works as Construction, Planning, QA/QC, QS, Safety, Procurement, Commercial, Design, MEP managers the relevant projects issues such as:

• Pricing, preparing and checking B.O.Q as per market rates.

• Planning and analyzing programs of work for projects.

• Controlling the project budget as per B.O.Q • Improving specification within the budget.

• Controlling site work progress as per plan program.

• Keeping the project on track as per the target completion date

• Technical issues in buildings construction, Piling, Dewatering, Shoring, Shuttering & Coring systems, Post-tension, Precast, Steel structure, Sub & Superstructure, Finishing and MEP works.

• Coordination between architectural, structural, MEP drawings, and divisions along with the consultant and the contractor.

• Controlling all paper work related to tenders, quantities, quotations & correspondence.

• Following up all authorizes related to municipality, survey, laboratories, water, electricity & RTA, etc.

• Quality controller of contracts, drawing, site work.

• Good experience in all building material and finishing items.

• Old experience in UAE authorizes updates regulations.

Mar 2003 – Jun 2006

As* Project's Manager * for buildings, etc.

Responsible for all works in the project, start to handing over, labors and material planning, coast control, projects schedule, method of statement, submittals and approvals, inspection the work, site safety, Subcontractors co-ordination

• Prepare monthly, weekly report, progress report etc. preparation of running and final payment certificates • Dealing with clients & consultants, getting approval, permission from municipality • Dealing with municipality projects.

• Experience in shoring, dewatering and piling systems and waterproofing. Flooring works and finishing under water level, external and internal finishes, cladding GRC, GRP, marble, Granite wet and dry fixing.

• Aluminum works curtain wall, space frame, sky light and stainless cladding.

• Experience in supporting & maintenance the old building; find the problems and solutions in the structure.

Sep 1998 – Feb 2003

• Controlling the project budget as per B.O.Q.

• Improving specification within the budget.

• Coordinate with the consultant and the contractor.

• Checking and coordination of drawings.

• Keeping the project on track as per the scheduled complication date.
